Doors are a fundamental part of any building, but they can be more than just exits and entryways. No matter the building project, your choice of doors has the potential to make a room feel open and welcoming, to make an apartment feel more like a home, or to grant some fresh air when it’s most needed. With doors being such a vital part of any construction, it’s important to know which doors best suit your vision. Here we have a brief introduction to each of our available doors, their functions, and what features they can provide for you, your building project, and your end user.

Terrace Doors

TerraceDoors-HeroImage638288342042956987

Terrace doors provide an entryway to balconies in a variety of low to high rise buildings, giving occupants a means to step out into the open air and enjoy the view even from multiple stories off the ground. At Peerless, we strive to design our products with energy efficiency in mind, and our terrace doors are no different. Our terrace doors come both thermally broken and compression sealed, keeping the elements out while reducing energy costs and ensuring that you will save long-term. We take pride in producing terrace doors that anyone can use, and for this we make sure to adhere to the Americans with Disabilities requirements to accommodate wheelchairs, walkers, and other assistant machinery. Provide luxury for your end user - if you have any questions about our terrace doors, please reach out to your Business Development Owner.

Tilt-And-Slide Doors

Tilt-And-Slide doors are a luxury you don't see every day. They are perfectly suited to either let in fresh air or open fully and allow complete access to the outside world. This kind of glass door can be tilted inward like a window to let in the breeze, opening up the entire doorway just enough for that welcome air flow, or they can be slid horizontally to fulfill its primary function and better let the outdoors in - and people out. Our Tilt-And-Slide door is also compression sealed for optimal performance against the elements, ensuring you save on long-term energy costs. The glass is even built with acoustic functions to aid in noise reduction, ensuring greater end-user comfort in even the most noisy of urban environments. Provide luxury for your end user - if you have any questions about our tilt-and-slide doors, please reach out to your Business Development Owner.

Folding Glass Doors

Bifold-HeroImage-1

Folding glass doors simultaneously open and fold to allow a wider entryway than any other kind of door. With the lowest sill in the industry at a mere 3/4” and our painted-to-match hardware, our folding glass doors offer near seamless access between the indoors and the outside, ensuring a modern, clean appearance - and all without disrupting a building’s predesigned aesthetic. Additionally, our folding glass doors’ 16’ opening capacity allows for plenty of fresh air to be let into a room, providing the user with wide, unobstructed, breathtaking views. You can even enhance the end-user experience by pairing your folding doors with our acoustic glass to keep more of those unwanted street noises out! Provide luxury for your end user - if you have any questions about our folding glass doors, please reach out to your Business Development Owner.

French Doors

Our Inswing French doors are a double door structure allowing for either half of the doorway to be opened - or both! Our French doors fit with a variety of architectural styles and are fully compression sealed against the elements, saving you long-term money on energy costs while complementing a variety of architectural styles for your patio, balcony, or courtyard. Building security is enhanced with our French doors' system as well, with one handle engaging all panel perimeter locks with the additional option of having a handle that's key-operated. Your building can have wider entryways without opening the whole wall if you don’t have the room, granting access to all kinds of users, including those requiring ADA compliant entryways. And you can add our acoustic glass to your inswing doors for even greater comfort, too! Provide luxury for your end user - if you have any questions about our inswing French doors, please reach out to your Business Development Owner.

Compression Sliding Doors

The primary function of our sliding doors is rather straightforward. Sliding to open, they allow an entryway to be opened and closed without obstructing nearby walkways; perfect for when a door just doesn’t have the room to be capable of a common swinging function. At Peerless, we design with performance in mind for all our products, and our compression sliding doors are no exception. Our sliding doors are built for strength, beauty, and ease of operation, offering long lasting performance in a doorway anyone can use. The door also features a 3/4" sill, and has been tested to AAMA Life Cycle specifications to ensure long lasting use. Add our acoustic glass to your compression sliding doors to further reduce unwanted noise from busy streets outside and provide luxury for your end user. If you have any questions about our compression sliding doors, please reach out to your Business Development Owner.

ADA Door Requirements

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, all our doors follow a specific set of requirements to ensure usability for all. Not everyone would think about how door handles project into a door’s opening, the height and distance requirements to ensure reachability, or the limitations these present. At Peerless, we’re proud to ensure that each of our doors are disability friendly, requiring no more than 5 pounds of force to operate. And with an 80” minimum vertical clearance, a 32” minimum opening width, and a sill height of no more than ½”, all our doors are wheelchair accessible. Ensure your doorways are user friendly for all with Peerless' ADA approved doors!

Fresh air ventilation in Multi-family buildings

Did you know there is such a thing as indoor air pollution? The University of Rochester Medical Center says, "Some indoor air pollutants have been around for years. But they often were weakened by outdoor air seeping into the home. Today's more energy-efficient homes don't let as much outdoor air get inside." So, is our "green" buildings harming the occupant's health?

BLAH BLAH BLAH

--JK Glass

Peerless Team You guys really knocked it out of the park on this trip. Seeing our project transform from billet to palletized windows was truly amazing. The Owner, Architect and Consultant could not have been more impressed with your people, facility, or product. The conversation on the plane home was largely focused on the level of innovation and drive towards better technology they saw and heard from your team…impressive to say the least. No one in our group had ever seen or experienced that with a window manufacturer or any other construction related product on a factory tour. Josloff is fortunate to have Peerless as a partner.

-- Ian Josloff, VP of Operations

“The Peerless Design is so well thought out that when it is built as designed it cannot fail"
